Starting a new business is hard, you need to understand the logistics, and then there is the advice—every family member and friend has an opinion!
I left an overseas global senior manager role in an international company in July 2020, to move country and start Idunn. We packed up our lives, and got on the ferry. Arriving in Dublin, we had to do 2 weeks quarantine with the children….. Lockdown again! Now that we have settled and children in school, I can focus on setting up Idunn! EXCITING!
What if it fails? What will others think? Am I doing this right—so much advice from everyone?! Will people want to work with me? Keeping me up at night, the safety blanket of being employed is gone—I'm on my own now, and I'm gonna surf that wave! :)
I believe in helping people to succeed. People are amazing, and I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I am a good listener, organized and always question the status quo. I know how to run a business in tough times, I’ve had to run redundancy plans for my staff and I know what its like for your clients to back out of contracts! I am very familiar with that dark place, but I always pick myself back up and see the opportunity to transform and take advantage of every situation—you can too!
This knowledge is what I want to share with all the small-medium sized businesses and startups to help you succeed. With approx. 3,000 new businesses started each month in Ireland* its such a great environment to get support and to succeed….
